What are the tools of the trade in Web Development?

I'm looking for some good programs that aid in web development. Can you give me the names of such programs? Thanks?

Any good text editor (Notepad Plus is good and free) or an IDE (Aptana Studio is free), a good web browser (Firefox with at least the Firebug add-on) and a local (installed on the development computer) web server.

Dreamweaver

Flash

Microsoft Visual Studio 2008

What is meant by "tools of trade"?

I don't know what to put under "tools of trade" in my deviantArt profile. I have not encountered this phrase before.

I have DeviantArt.

They mean what do you use to create your art?

Usually people put Acrylics or Photoshop or the type of camera they have.

I have: Right Brain ;)

Have Fun!

If you were a carpenter, you would put, saws, chisels, planes, files & sandpaper. What do you do, & what do you use to do it?

Usually, when it comes to art, "tools of the trade" is referring to the mediums you use, e.g. watercolor, oil pastel, etc.

"Tools of trade are the type and amount of instruments, tools, equipment, devices and machinery as would be usually used in the normal course and scope of a person's profession, trade or occupation without the use of additional labor."

The tool you used to make your art, computers, pens, paper etc.

Tools of trade are the type and amount of instruments, tools, equipment, devices , knowledge, expertise, diplomas, certificates, degrees, anything used in the implementation of the trade

Tools of the trade simply means what you use to do the job. If your an artist you list down whatever you use to do your paintings and drawings.

Generally speaking, is Farberware better than Tools of the Trade?

I bought a Farberware knife set from Walmart for $70. This weekend, Macy's has Tools of the Trade knife set for only $50, on sale from original $100. It's got a few more pieces as well. But is Tools of the Trade better or Farberware?

no not really, just more expensive, it's the name your getting.

I saw 'Tools of the trade' stainless steel cookware set at Macy's. However, no one I know has tried this brand

I am very confused between buying this set at Macys, or buying something more famous like farberware/revere. I would appreciate any feedback for the stainless steel set mentioned above. BTW, this set is for $60, which is much cheaper than farberware. However, I dont want to buy a lower quality stuff, and end up replacing it in a few years (means spending more money!)............Please advice..

Even though it is offered through Macy's, its price suggest a lower quality of product. As you know, "You get what you pay for". If you want good durible cookware, I'd suggest you opt for commercial restaurant grade products. While more expensive, they are built for heavy use. The only problem, is they are usually not "Pretty". Most of the time, the more it cost, the "better it is", in cookware. You can find good quality cookware on line (i.e. Ebay, Craigslist, even googling cookware) you will find more sources than you'll be able to choose from.

Anyone know anything about Tools of the Trade - Cookright Cookware?

Today I bought a set of pots and pans from Macy's. The brand is Tools of the Trade and the line is called Cookright. It was priced at$89.00 discounted from $130.00. Its a nice looking set, with a 4 quart wok style fry pan, two saute pans & three sauce pans, different sizes, plus a 8quart stock pot all pots plus the wok fryer have lids. Polished Stainless steel. Who knows anything about these pots I cant find any reviews on them and it looks like they are being discontinued.

i looked up reviews and found the following site...it is the same brand it is just about a set that is a little bit different than the one you have.

i just read the first review and it sounds like they are good!

any way the site has 68 different reviews...hope this helps! =)

What is a trade barrier? How does a trade barrier impede a country’s access to the export markets?

What is a trade barrier? How does a trade barrier impede a country’s access to the export markets? Why would a country restrict trade when it is argued that free trade benefits all nations that engage in such activity and in the process maximizes world welfare?

trade barriers are stuffs that restricts trade:

1. quotas on imports or exports

2. tariff fees on exports or imports

Why put barriers to trade?

1. protect domestic infant industry

if you trade to get what you want, domestic industries suffer because you need to import expensive goods from abroad and domestic industry cannot compete

2. prices on imported goods are higher than prices of local goods

Trade barriers are measures that give domestic producers an artificial advantage over overseas producers. Trade barriers include quotas, tariffs, subsidies, embargoes and voluntary export restraint (VER). The goal of trade barriers is to restrict international trade and to encourage domestic production in the protected industries.

Countries use protectionism to protect their infant industries until they can mature and take advantage of economies of scale. Protectionism is also aimed to prevent dumping (when an overseas firm sells its product in another country below its cost of production), to protect employment in industries facing foreign competition and to promote more diversified sectors in the domestic economy.

????trade?

i have LT and Harrison, but they havent been putting up good numbers, should i trade them, and if yes, for who? Also, i want to trade edwards and booker, but for who?

Keep both of them because it's just a matter of time before they explode. I made the mistake of trading Harrison before he went off on the Saints for three scores and about 160 yards. (I haven't lived it down since)

dont jump on LT and harrison

edwards and booker can go for someone better

maybe housh?

or galloway?

LT has been doin good but his linemen havent been doin anything so keep him and marvin harrison keep him too cause he will be useful later onn. trade edwards and brooker for the best you can think of cause they suckk!!!!!!!

no, those are keepers
